Ethnic Desire Creations

Being located in Andheri means we are always right in the middle of the noise and the crowd. Ethnic Desire Creations is our small operation here, and it’s a pretty tight space overall. We’ve been at this spot for several years and have seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are usually too busy to worry about that. We have a few old wooden desks and some metal racks where we keep everything organized. It gets really humid during the monsoon, and the damp smell of the street sometimes drifts in. We don't have a polished showroom. It’s more of a functional workshop where we get the real work done. Most of the staff has been with us for a long time, so we know each other's habits well. We usually have a radio playing some old songs in the background. It helps pass the time when we are doing repetitive tasks. The street outside is always blocked with rickshaws, so getting deliveries in can be a bit of a headache. We just take it as it comes. It isn’t a glamorous job, but it’s what we know. We close up at the same time every evening and head home on the train. It’s just a regular life for us in a very busy part of the city.
