Estate Option

Our office for Estate Option is over in Fort, at number 39. It’s one of those old buildings with the high ceilings and the big windows that let in a lot of light, which is lucky because the lights inside aren't very bright. Fort is a busy part of town, full of history and old stone walls. We’ve been here at 39 for a few years. The stairs are steep and narrow, so you have to be careful coming up. Inside, it’s mostly just us and a lot of old wooden desks. We don't have any of those modern glass partitions or bright colors. Everything is a bit grey and brown, which we actually like. It feels solid. We spend a lot of time walking around the neighborhood, checking on different properties and talking to owners. We don't use much technology besides our old computers and our phones. Most of our notes are hand-written in big registers. It’s a bit old-fashioned, but it works for us. We know the tea seller downstairs really well, and he brings us cutting chai a few times a day. We don't have a big marketing budget or a fancy website. We just sit at our desks, answer the calls, and try to help people find what they need in this part of the city. It’s a quiet life in a loud neighborhood, and we wouldn't want to be anywhere else.
