Our office is located in Sector-20, Kharghar, right inside the Kesar Garden complex at Plot No-53. Specifically, you can find us in Tulip, room 301. Edifice Architects has been operating from this part of Navi Mumbai for a good while. Nadim Shafi Divde runs the place, and we have a handful of people who keep the office running daily. It’s a quiet enough spot compared to the main city, which helps when we need to focus on the technical side of architecture. We do a lot of residential work because there is so much building happening around Kharghar and the rest of Maharashtra. It’s not just about drawing pretty pictures; it’s mostly about making sure the measurements are right and the materials make sense for the weather here. We deal with a lot of paperwork and permissions, which can be a headache, but it’s part of the job. Sometimes our desks are buried under site reports and material samples. We try to be real with people about how long things take and what they will actually cost. There’s no point in making promises we can’t keep. People come to us because they want someone local who knows the area well. We’ve seen Kharghar grow from almost nothing to what it is today. It’s a lot of work, but we enjoy the process of seeing a building go from a sketch to a real place where people live their lives.
