Eat (India)

You’ll find us at 630 Navjivan Wadi, right off J S S Road in the Dhobi Talao area. The name Eat (India) might make you think of something big and corporate, but we are just a small setup in a very old part of the city. The building we are in has seen better days, and the plumbing is always acting up, but it’s where we’ve set up shop. The streets around Dhobi Talao are always alive with people moving between the old buildings and the nearby stations. We don't have a lot of space, so we have to be very careful about where we put things. There is always a lot of noise coming in from the street, mostly horns and people shouting, but you get used to it after a week or so. Our windows don't quite close all the way, so we get a lot of the city smells and sounds inside with us. We aren't here to impress anyone with a fancy office. Most of our furniture was bought second-hand and the light bulbs flicker if too many things are plugged in at once. We spend our time managing the daily tasks and making sure we don't fall behind. It’s a lot of manual work and checking lists. We eat our lunch at our desks most days and watch the people go by on J S S Road. It’s a decent enough spot to spend the day while we get things finished.
