If you ever find yourself on Abdul Rehman Street, you probably know how packed it gets. We are located at 182/184, right in the thick of all that noise and energy. The shop has been around for a long time, and it shows in the way the floorboards creak. It is a narrow building, but it goes back quite deep, which gives us enough room to store everything we need. Most days, the street outside is so busy with handcarts and shoppers that you can barely move. We spend a lot of our time just organizing the stock and helping whoever walks through the door. There is no air conditioning, so the ceiling fans are always on full blast, humming away. We have shelves that go all the way up to the ceiling, and we have to use a tall ladder to reach the stuff at the top. It can be a bit chaotic when three things are happening at once, but we are used to the pace by now. Our desk is tucked away in the back where it’s a little quieter, but not by much. We don't have any fancy brochures or a marketing department. We just write things down in our books and keep track of orders the old way. It’s a practical life here on Abdul Rehman Street, and we wouldn’t really know what to do with a quiet office anyway.
