You can find us right near the J. J. Hospital traffic signal in the Princess Building. Being on E. R. Road means it is always noisy with the sound of ambulances and traffic. It’s a very busy part of Mumbai. We focus on medical books because the hospital is right there and there are always students and doctors around. Our office is full of heavy medical textbooks and journals. It’s a bit dusty because of all the paper, but that’s just how it is with books. We spend our days talking to people who are studying for exams or doctors who need the latest manuals. It’s not a glamorous job. We spend a lot of time checking prices and looking for specific editions that people ask for. The building itself has been here for a long time. Sometimes the lift doesn't work and we have to carry boxes up the stairs, which is quite a workout. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything. People usually find us because they are already in the area for the hospital. We know the local tea seller and the other shopkeepers on the ground floor. It’s a tight-knit spot despite all the chaos outside. We just keep our heads down and handle the orders as they come in. It’s a lot of work but it feels right being so close to where all the medical stuff happens. We try to stay organized but it is hard with so many books.
