E R Kutty Property

We are located over by the Mumbai Railway Colony in Sherpur Kalan. It is a specific area with a lot of people coming and going because of the trains and the housing there. E R Kutty started this because there was always a need for someone to help with local rooms and land deals. We don't have a big corporate setup or anything like that. It is just a small room where we keep our registers and talk to folks from the colony. Most of our work involves helping families find a place to stay or helping owners manage their little patches of land nearby. Sherpur Kalan has changed a lot over the years, but we are still in the same spot doing the same things. It is noisy sometimes with the railway nearby, but you get used to it. We drink a lot of tea and talk to whoever walks in the door looking for advice on property rates. We don't use any high-tech systems, just some notebooks and our memory of who lives where. If someone wants to sell, they tell us, and we keep an eye out for a buyer who isn't going to cause trouble. It is a simple way of working, but it keeps us busy enough throughout the week. Sometimes we are out on the field looking at sites, so the door might be locked for an hour, but we usually come right back.
