Durga Ganesh Fast Food

We are located at number 279 in Badra East. It’s a small corner where we set up our equipment every single morning. The name Durga Ganesh comes from our family's old traditions. We start very early when the sun is barely up just to get the batter ready for the day. Badra East is a very crowded place, and there are always people rushing to the train station or their offices. We see the same faces every single morning. Some people stop for a quick bite, and some just wave as they pass by our counter. We don't have much room for chairs or tables, so most people just eat while they stand around or they take the food away in a small plastic bag. The stove stays on all day long. It makes the air around us very warm and humid. We try to keep the metal counter clean, but with so many people coming through, it’s a constant job for us. We buy the flour and the spices from the grocery shop just down the street. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who know how to cook the basics. Sometimes the heavy rain makes it hard to work because the water splashes under our small awning. We just put on our rubber boots and keep going. It’s a steady rhythm for us. We don't do anything very complicated here. We just keep the food hot.
