Digambar M Jog

Digambar M Jog is located at 32 Apollo Bandar in the Old Kamani Chamber. This part of the city has a lot of old-world charm, being so close to the waterfront and the historic buildings. The chamber itself is an older structure with thick walls and that distinct smell of old paper and stone. Our office is a basic workspace. We haven’t done much to change it over the years. We have the usual desks, some wooden cupboards for storage, and a few windows that look out onto the street. It’s a quiet place for the most part, which is helpful when we have a lot of reading or writing to do. The atmosphere is very different from the modern glass towers you see in other parts of Mumbai. It feels more solid and permanent. We don't have any flashy signs or modern art on the walls. Mostly, it’s just the work that takes center stage. Getting here can be a bit of a trek depending on where you are coming from, but the area is nice for a walk during the lunch hour. You see a lot of tourists and locals mingling near the gateway. We just go about our business in our own corner of the building. It’s a steady, predictable environment where we know exactly what needs to be done each morning when we unlock the door and sit down at our desks to start.
