Our workshop is located at G-5 in the Gem & Jewellery Complex-I, inside the Seepz-Sez in Andheri East. It’s a high-security area, so it’s not like people can just wander in off the street, but we’ve been part of this complex for a long time. At Diastar Jewellery Ltd., things are a bit different than the heavy tool shops. Here it’s all about small details and a lot of patience. The lighting has to be just right so we can see what we're doing with the stones and the metal. It’s quiet work mostly, just the sound of small tools clicking or someone polishing a piece. We have a small team of workers who have been with us for years. They have steady hands, which is more than I can say for myself some days. We don't have a fancy showroom here because this is where the actual making happens. It's dusty in a different way—mostly fine metal dust that we have to be careful with. We follow all the rules of the Seepz zone, which keeps us busy with paperwork sometimes. But at the end of the day, it's about the jewelry. We aren't trying to be the biggest name in Andheri; we just want to make sure the pieces we finish are done right. We usually have lunch together in the canteen nearby. It’s a good group of people just doing their jobs.
