Dhuan Coffee & Grill

If you walk down J P Road, you’ll find us at 9AB. The name Dhuan Coffee & Grill comes from the fact that we do a lot of grilling, and well, coffee is the other half of the story. There’s usually a bit of smoke in the air near the entrance, which I guess is where the name fits. It’s a narrow spot, and we’ve had to be clever about where we put the grill so it doesn't get too hot for everyone. The coffee machine is always humming in the background. J P Road is always loud, so we have some music playing to try and mask the sound of the horns outside. We aren't trying to be one of those high-end places. We just have some wooden benches and a few stools. The walls have some marks on them from moving furniture around, but we don't mind too much. It feels lived in. Sometimes we run out of specific beans or the charcoal takes a while to light up, but that’s just part of the daily grind. We get a mix of students and older folks who just want to sit for a bit. It’s not a place where you have to dress up. You can just come as you are and hang out. We’ve been here for a bit now, and we’ve seen the shops around us change, but we’re still here doing our thing on the corner.
