Dhanesh Tools

Our place is in Medows House over in Fort. The address is 39 Nagindas Master Road, though a lot of the older folks still call it Medows Street. It’s one of those classic old buildings that Mumbai is known for. Dhanesh Tools has been operating out of here for quite a while. The walls are thick and the ceilings are high, which helps keep it a bit cooler than the street outside. Fort is always bustling. You have all the lawyers and office workers rushing around, and then there’s us with our tools. It is a bit of a contrast. Getting heavy items up and down the stairs can be a bit of a chore, but we’ve gotten used to it. The space is filled with drawers and shelves of different tool sets. It smells like machine oil and old paper in here. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just a few of us handling the orders and talking to the customers who come in. Being in Medows House gives us a sense of being part of the old city's history. We aren't a big modern factory. We are just a local business doing what we know how to do. Some days are slow, others we can't keep up with the phone ringing. We just take it as it comes and try to be helpful to anyone who walks through the door.
