Designers Avenue

Designers Avenue is tucked away in Dreams Mall, specifically at unit F-309. We are on L.B.S Road in Bhandup West. Being in a mall sounds fancy, but Dreams Mall is a pretty regular place where a lot of small businesses like ours set up shop. Our unit isn't huge. We have some mannequins, racks of clothes, and a sewing machine in the corner for alterations. It’s often a bit cluttered with fabric scraps and measuring tapes lying around. We spend a lot of time talking to customers about fit and style, though we don't use any high-fashion jargon. We just want things to look decent on people. Bhandup West is a busy area, and the traffic on L.B.S Road is always a nightmare, so we’ve learned to be patient when our supplies are running late. The mall can be quiet on weekday mornings and then suddenly get very crowded on Saturday evenings. We do all the work ourselves, from tidying the shop to handling the billing. Sometimes the air conditioning in the mall is a bit patchy, so we have a small fan behind the counter. We aren't a big brand with stores everywhere. We are just this one spot in Bhandup where we try to make clothes that people actually want to wear. It’s a lot of standing on our feet and dealing with picky shoppers, but it’s our business. We just keep the doors open and do the work day by day. We don't have any big corporate goals, we just want to finish the sewing on time.
