Design Collection

We are over in Nagpada at Shirinbai Chawl, right at the 4th cross in Babuji Layout. It's a busy spot and we have been working here for quite a while now. Most days it is just us sitting around the machines getting orders done for people who drop by. It is not a very big space but we make it work with what we have. Design Collection started because there was a need for some work to be done locally and we just stayed. You can hear the traffic from the street all day but you get used to it after a few years. We handle all sorts of stuff here, mostly just sticking to what people ask for when they walk in. Sometimes the power goes out or the delivery is late, but that is just how things go in this part of town. We don't have a big fancy office or anything like that. It is just a workshop with some old tables and chairs where we sit and do the cutting and sewing. The neighbors know us well since we have been at this address for so long. If you are looking for the place, just ask around the chawl and someone will point you to the right corner. We try to get things finished when we say we will, though sometimes we run behind if there is too much work on the floor. It is a simple life here and we just keep at it every day.
