Desiburp Culinary Private Limited

Our office for Desiburp Culinary Private Limited is up on the ninth floor of Prasad Chambers. It is right near the old Roxy Cinema in the Opera House area of Charni Road. If you’ve ever been to this part of Mumbai, you know how busy it gets with all the diamond merchants and the traffic from the station. Prasad Chambers is a huge building with lots of different businesses, so there’s always a crowd at the elevators. Sometimes you have to wait ten minutes just to get up to 912. The office itself is okay, though the windows need a good cleaning because of all the city dust. We have a view of some other buildings and a little bit of the street below. We mostly work on our food projects and culinary ideas from here. It gets a bit loud because of the traffic outside, but you stop noticing it after a week. There are four of us usually sitting around the main table with our laptops. We started this because we liked the idea of working for ourselves. We don't have a receptionist or any of those corporate things. If someone knocks, one of us just gets up and opens the door. It’s a practical space for what we do. We drink a lot of coffee and try to stay on top of the emails. It’s just a regular Mumbai office life for us at Charni Road East.
