Desi Gourmet

We are located in Ghatkopar East, specifically in Kalidas Nagar on Market Road 7. Desi Gourmet is a small operation. We started it because we liked the idea of having a place right in the middle of the market. It’s very busy here. Every morning, the street starts filling up with vendors and people looking for deals. We are right in the thick of it at number 7. The shop isn't very large, so we have to be careful with how we use the space. We spend a lot of our time talking to neighbors and people passing by. It’s a friendly area, even if it is a bit cramped. We do things the old-fashioned way. There’s no big manual for how we run things. We just figure it out as we go. Sometimes we run out of things, and we have to go find them quickly. It’s a bit of a juggle. The Bombay heat can be tough in the afternoons, but the market vibe keeps us going. We’ve been at this address for a while and don't plan on moving. It feels right being on Market Road. People know they can find us here. We aren't trying to change the world. We just want to do our work and go home. That’s the life at Desi Gourmet in Kalidas Nagar. It gets loud and messy, but we are used to it by now. We stay open until the market closes down.
