Decosta Creation

We are over at 5 Khatri Compound, which is on the 13th Cross in Lower Parel. If you know this area, you know it is nothing like the flashy parts of the city. Decosta Creation is basically just a workspace inside an old industrial compound. There are a lot of other small businesses around us, so you can always hear the sound of machines or people shouting to be heard over the traffic. Finding the 13th Cross can be a bit tricky because the signs are not always clear. Inside the compound, the stairs are a bit steep and the walls are that typical grey concrete. We have our tables set up where the light is best. It gets pretty humid in here during the monsoon, and we have to be careful with the roof leaking sometimes. We are just a small team of people trying to keep things moving. There is usually a pile of fabric or scrap material in the corner that we need to sort through. We do not have a fancy reception desk or anything like that. If you come by, you will likely find us with our sleeves rolled up, just working. We have a small kettle for making coffee in the afternoons when we get a bit tired. It is just a practical place to do our daily tasks without much fuss.
