Om Ethnic Wear

You can find our little workshop at Gala No. 9 in the Ram Shayam Arupa Garige Gulli, right near Pilak Bhasaa in Dadar West. It is a very typical Dadar location, tucked away in a narrow lane where everyone knows each other. We focus on ethnic wear, mostly traditional stuff that people need for weddings or festivals. The space is quite small and we have to be very organized to fit all the fabrics and machines inside. It gets very busy during the festival months, and sometimes you can barely move between the stacks of cloth. We are just a local family-run business, nothing like those big stores you see in the malls. My brother and I do most of the daily management while our tailors handle the stitching. We have some old ceiling fans that squeak a bit, but they keep us cool while we work. The area outside is always loud with people walking to the station, but we like the energy of Dadar. We don’t have a website or anything fancy; we just work for the people who walk in or the ones who have been coming to us for years. It is a lot of hard work and late nights, especially when a big order is due, but we take pride in seeing someone wear something we made.
