Canox Ethnic Wear

Canox Ethnic Wear is located at 7 B Swastik Industrial Estate, right opposite Kamgar Stadium in Dadar West. Being in Dadar means we are right in the middle of everything, which is great but also very crowded. The industrial estate is an old building, so the elevators are a bit moody and we often just take the stairs. We make traditional Indian clothes here. It’s a lot of detail work with embroidery and specific cuts that take a bit more time than regular clothes. The workspace is filled with the smell of pressed fabric and the sound of steam irons. During the wedding season, we are usually here late into the night because the demand goes way up. We have a small group of specialized workers who have been doing this for decades. Across the street, we can hear the cheering from the stadium when there's a match, which is a nice break from the silence of the workshop. We don't have a big showroom; we mostly just supply to other retailers or take direct orders from people who know where to find us. The space is a bit cluttered with rolls of silk and cotton, but we know where everything is. It’s a practical setup and we’ve been part of the Dadar garment community for a long time. We just try to make clothes that look decent and last for more than a few washes.
