Our rooms are usually full of the smell of oil paints and turpentine. The floors have quite a few stains from years of students dropping brushes, but we think it gives the place some character. Swapna Bhoomi is an older building and it has that classic Dadar feel to it. We have canvases leaning against the walls and jars full of brushes everywhere you look. The light coming through the windows in the afternoon is actually quite good for painting. We don’t have fancy art gallery lighting or anything like that. It’s just a workspace where people come to learn. There are chairs and stools scattered around, and we usually have some music playing softly in the background. K Bole Road is always noisy with traffic and people, but once you are inside and focused on a drawing, you sort of forget about the chaos outside. We don't follow a strict corporate schedule; things are a bit more relaxed here. We just want people to sit down and enjoy the process of making something. It’s a bit messy and crowded sometimes, but that’s just what happens when you’re working with colors and pens all day. We enjoy seeing what everyone creates at the end of the class.
