Our little spot on 7th Main in Khar West has been around for a bit. It is situated in the 3rd Phase, which is usually quite a lively area to be in. We spend a lot of time hovering over the hot plates, spreading batter and hoping it doesn't stick. The kitchen isn't very big, so things can get pretty hot and loud when the orders start piling up. We try to keep the tables clean, but with the flour and everything else, it’s a constant battle. People from the offices nearby usually drop in for a quick bite during their lunch breaks. It’s not a place where you’d find a lot of quiet, especially since the traffic outside on the main road never seems to stop. We have some regular customers who always sit in the same corner and order the same thing every single time. We don't really have a big staff, so if it’s busy, you might have to wait a little longer than usual. The menu is just written on a board, nothing too formal. We’ve had some days where the batter just isn’t right and we have to start over, which is frustrating for everyone. It’s just a normal day-to-day operation here. We handle the groceries, do the cooking, and talk to the neighbors. Khar is a fast-moving place, but inside here, things are a bit more focused on the stove and the next order.
