Cortez Foods

The office is located over at Kandivali West in the 104 Kazi Sayed Street building, specifically in C 201. It’s a bit of a walk up if the elevator is acting busy, which happens more often than we’d like. We handle a lot of food stuff here and the space is usually filled with boxes and paperwork. It’s not the most organized place in the world but we know where everything is. My brother and I started this because we wanted to work for ourselves and this spot was what we could afford at the time. We spend hours on the phone with suppliers and trying to get things moved out to customers on time. Sometimes the rain makes the street outside really messy and we have to be careful about loading the vans. We don't have a big fancy lobby or anything like that. Usually, you’ll just see someone drinking tea and staring at a computer screen. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons but we have a small fan that does its best. We’ve had some good years and some tough ones too. We just keep showing up every morning and doing the work. Kandivali is a busy area and there’s always something going on downstairs. We like the energy of the street even if it’s a bit chaotic sometimes. There’s a small tea stall nearby where we go when we need a break from the paperwork in the office. It's nothing fancy, just a room with some desks.
