Concept Cuisines

We’ve been here at Nepensea Road for a while now. It’s a quiet spot near Garden View in Malabar Hill. The building number is 1401. Sometimes the traffic gets a bit much outside but once you’re in at Concept Cuisines it’s alright. I usually get here early to start things off. The air from the sea comes in if the windows are open. Most days go by pretty fast. We see the same faces mostly. People walking their dogs or just heading to work. It isn’t a huge place but it fits what we do. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint soon. My desk is tucked in the corner behind the main counter. We keep the books there and handle the phone calls. Sometimes the delivery guys get lost looking for the 1401 marker because the street signs are a bit faded. It’s part of the charm of this part of Mumbai I guess. You get used to the noise of the city after some time. It’s just how it is. We try to keep things organized but sometimes it gets messy when we are busy with orders. That’s just part of working with food. Nothing fancy, just us doing our thing every day. We’ve had the same neighbors for years. It feels like a little community on this stretch of road. We don’t really do much advertising. People just find us or they already know where we are.
