Silver Wings Exports

Down in Colaba, things are always moving, and Silver Wings Exports is right in the middle of it on B S B Road. Being at number 56, we get a lot of the salt air coming off the water if the wind is blowing the right way. It’s an old part of Mumbai, and you can feel it in the walls of the office. The building has been here for ages, and we’ve settled into our spot on the road quite well. There’s always a bit of a rush with the export side of things, lots of boxes coming and going, and delivery guys hanging around the entrance. It’s not the quietest place to work, especially with the traffic on B S B Road, but we like the energy. We have a small crew and most of us have been here for a long time. We know the chai wallah on the corner by name, and he usually brings us tea twice a day without us even asking. The office is often cluttered with papers and samples because that’s just how the export business goes. We don't really have a fancy reception area. If you come in, you’re likely to see someone packing a crate or checking a shipping list. It’s honest work and we stay busy from Monday to Saturday. Sometimes we stay late when a shipment needs to get out, watching the streetlights come on through the window. It’s just the way life is in Colaba.
