Manish Art Jewellery is down in Bhuleshwar. If you know the area, you know the Kabutar Khana. It’s always full of birds and people feeding them. Our shop is Shop No. 7 on the ground floor of Bana Bhai Chawl. The address is 17/a A. M. Road. Being on the ground floor means we see everything that goes on in the chawl. It’s a busy, cramped kind of place, but it has a lot of life in it. The noise from A. M. Road is pretty constant. You’ve got trucks, scooters, and people shouting all day. Bana Bhai Chawl is an old building, the kind that’s seen generations. We are just one of the many small businesses operating out of these rooms. The ground floor is always bustling with activity. Sometimes it’s a bit dusty because of the road, but we just keep the shop clean and get on with things. It’s not a fancy place by any means. It’s honest and practical. You can hear the pigeons from the Kabutar Khana if the wind blows the right way. Most of the people around here are regulars. We know the tea seller and the other shopkeepers in the chawl. It’s a tight-knit spot despite all the chaos of Bhuleshwar. We’ve been at No. 17/a for a good while, and it’s just where we belong. It’s a simple shop in a very busy part of town.
