Al- Habib Kamboodi

We've been running Al- Habib Kamboodi from the ground floor of Grant Building for a while now. If you know Colaba, you know H. N. A. Azmi Marg is always busy. It’s just how things are here. We open up the doors every morning and get things ready. The building itself is quite old and has its own character, which we like. People pass by all day long on their way to other spots in South Mumbai. It’s not a big fancy setup or anything. Just a simple place where we do our work. Sometimes the traffic outside gets loud, but we’re used to it. Being on the ground floor makes it easy for folks to find us without climbing stairs. We spend most of our time right here at this address. It’s a tight space but we make it work for what we need. Colaba has changed a bit over the years but this corner of ours stays pretty much the same. We don't spend much time worrying about how the office looks to outsiders. It’s functional. We have our desks, our paperwork, and the usual daily stuff to handle. Some days are busier than others, especially when the weather is hot and humid. We just keep our heads down and finish the tasks for the day. That’s really all there is to it. We've been at this spot long enough that the neighbors know us by name. It’s a good place to be.
