Classique Caterers

If you head over to Worli West, specifically near Mahran Society on Gulmohar Cross Road 64, that’s where you’ll find our kitchen. Classique Caterers is basically just a group of us who enjoy being around food. It’s always a bit loud and messy here, but that’s how a kitchen should be, I guess. We spend most of our time prepping ingredients or packing up boxes for deliveries. The smell of spices and onions usually hangs heavy in the air. It’s not a glamorous job, standing on your feet all day, but it’s what we know. We don't have any formal uniforms or anything like that. Just aprons that have seen better days. We’ve been in this spot for a while now, and we’ve gotten to know the delivery drivers and the neighbors pretty well. Sometimes we run out of salt or have to scramble when a burner stops working, but we always figure it out. It’s a bit chaotic during the lunch rush, but we find a way to make it through. We don't really have a big office. Most of the business happens over the counter or on the phone while we’re chopping vegetables. We just focus on getting the food out on time. It’s just the work we do. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to make sure people have something to eat at their events. It’s just how we live and work here in Worli, day in and day out.
