Chetna Trading Co.

Out here on Daulat Nagar Road Number 4 in Mumbai, Chetna Trading Co. has its home. It’s in the 400066 area, so it’s a bit of a trek if you’re coming from south Mumbai, but for us, it’s just the daily commute. The building is typical for this part of the city, and our space is filled with whatever we’re trading at the moment. We deal with a lot of different vendors, and the phone stays pretty busy during business hours. There’s always someone coming in to drop off a package or pick up an order. We don’t have a fancy lobby or anything like that. It’s just a workspace where we get things done. The floor is concrete, and we have a couple of old wooden tables that we use for packing. Sometimes the street outside gets blocked by trucks loading up, which makes things a bit hectic. We usually drink a lot of chai to keep going through the afternoon slump. It’s a lot of manual tracking of stock because the computer doesn't always show the whole picture. We’ve been in this spot for a while, and the people around here know us. It’s a straightforward business where we focus on getting the goods where they need to go without much fuss. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re usually too busy to worry about that.
