Chennai Mumbai Food Express Llp

You can find us at Gala No 4 in the Shakti Textile area of Chincholi Bunder, over in Malad West. It is an industrial kind of spot, right next to MB Autoworks. It is not the most glamorous location, but it works perfectly for what we do at Chennai Mumbai Food Express. We wanted to bring some of those southern flavors over to the fast-paced life here in Mumbai. Most of our day is spent in the gala, prepping ingredients or coordinating how to get the food out to different parts of the city. Malad is always crowded, so timing is everything. If we miss a window, the traffic just eats up the whole afternoon. It is a lot of logistics and making sure the kitchen staff knows exactly what needs to be done. We do not have a fancy dining room with waiters. It is more of a practical hub where the real work happens. Sometimes it gets really loud with the neighboring workshops, but we just turn up the music and keep going. We deal with a lot of spice and large quantities of rice and dal. It is hard work and the hours are long, but we like seeing the crates go out full. We are just a small team trying to keep the food moving and the quality steady. It’s nothing fancy, but it is honest work that keeps us very busy every single day.
