Our little spot is located in Room No Mg 65 at the Rameshwar Chs. If you already know where Jama Sweets is in Chembur Mandapeshwar, you have probably walked right past us many times without even noticing. It is a bit of a crowded building, but it works fine for what we do every day. We spend our time helping people find a roof over their heads or a small room to start a business. The office is usually cluttered with folders and notes we have scribbled down during phone calls. Chembur is a lively place, so there is always something happening right outside the door. We do not have a big staff or anything like that. It is just us sitting here, waiting for the next person to come in and ask about rents or buying a flat. Most of the time, we are out walking around the neighborhood looking at properties or meeting owners who have a spare room to let out. It is a lot of legwork, but that is how real estate goes around here. We know the local streets pretty well by now. People stop by after getting something from the sweet shop nearby, and we just chat about what is available in the building or the next block over. It is not glamorous work, just a lot of checking keys and making sure the paperwork is mostly in order before anyone signs anything. We just keep at it and help people find what they need.
