We are up on the sixth floor of the Hamrahi Building in Bandra West, unit 608. Bandra is a fast place to be, and being in the real estate world here means we see a lot of people coming and going. The building itself is one of those typical Bandra structures that has been around for a while. The lift works most of the time, which is good because the stairs are a long walk when it is humid outside. From our window, you can see bits of the neighborhood, and you can definitely hear the life of the street below. It’s a small office, mostly just desks and a couple of chairs for people to sit when they come to talk about property. It’s often a bit cluttered with papers and maps of the local area. We spend a lot of time on the phone or out visiting sites, so the office is more of a home base than a place where we sit all day long. Bandra West has a very particular vibe, a mix of old bungalows and new high-rises. We’ve seen the area change so much from this office. The Hamrahi Building is tucked away enough that it’s not too crazy, but we are still right in the thick of it. It’s a hard-working office. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. If you come by, you just walk in and talk to whoever is there. It is simple and direct.
