Broker Dwrkadas Ravji

We operate out of the Yogeshwar building on the fourth floor, right in the heart of Masjid Bunder West. Being up in Shop No 401 means we are a bit away from the ground-floor chaos of the market, but you can still hear the shouting of the porters and the trucks unloading all day long. Broker Dwrkadas Ravji has been a name in this area for a long time, mostly dealing with the brokerage side of trade. It’s a lot of paperwork, phone calls, and keeping track of market prices that seem to change every hour. The office is pretty traditional. We have big ledgers, a couple of heavy desks, and lots of files stacked up in the corners. It’s the kind of place where business is done with a lot of talk and a simple handshake. Masjid Bunder is a tough place to work because it’s so crowded and the heat can be a lot, but it’s where all the real trade happens. We don't have a modern reception or fancy leather furniture. It’s just a workspace for people who know the trade inside out. Sometimes the lift in the building is slow or doesn't work at all, so we end up taking the stairs. We've been through many seasons here, watching the market go up and down. It’s just a steady, old-fashioned way of working in one of the busiest parts of the city.
