Man Mandir Silk

SV Road is always a mess with traffic, especially being so close to the Borivili West station. We are right there, opposite Jaya Cinema, which is a landmark everyone knows. Our shop, Man Mandir Silk, has been sitting in this spot for a long time. It is a busy area, so there is always noise from the rickshaws and people rushing to catch their trains. Inside, we have rows and rows of silk fabrics. We don't have fancy displays or those bright lights you see in malls. It is just us and the stock. The dust from the road is a constant battle, so someone is always wiping down the counters or sweeping the floor. Sometimes customers come in just to escape the heat for a minute while they wait for their movie to start across the street. We don't mind. We have a small staff, mostly people who have worked with us for years. We know the other shopkeepers on this stretch well. We talk about the weather or how the train schedules are changing. It is a practical business. We stock what people ask for and try to keep things organized, even if the back room is a bit of a disaster. It is just a normal shop in a very crowded part of town, doing the same thing every day since we first opened the doors to the public. It keeps us busy and pays the bills.
