Colourex

Our place, Colourex, is tucked away in Borivali West on the first floor of No. 9 Shroff Wadi. If you already know where Pandya Hospital is on Sodawala Lane, then you can find us pretty easily because we are right across from it. It is a busy part of town, so there is always some kind of noise or activity going on outside our windows. We deal with colors and pigments all day long. It is the kind of job where you end up with spots on your clothes no matter how careful you try to be. The stairs up to the first floor are a bit narrow, so we have to be careful when we are moving heavy stuff in and out of the office. It is not a showroom or a fancy gallery. It is more of a working space where things actually get done. We have got shelves full of different containers and old ledgers. Sometimes the smell of the materials is quite strong, but you get used to it after working here for a while. Most of the people who come to see us are looking for something very specific for their own businesses. We do not spend much time on the computer unless we really have to. Most of the work is hands-on. We like it that way. It is a bit old-fashioned perhaps, but it works for us and for the people who buy from us. (249 words)
