Our office is right across from the Borivali West railway station, which is handy for everyone getting off the train. We are on the second floor, room 210, in the Goya building at Shantiban Chowk. It gets pretty crowded around here, especially during rush hour, but that’s just how Borivali is. Ankita Estate Consultancy started because there were so many people looking for homes and not enough clear info. We spend our days talking to landlords and looking at different properties in Suraj Naga, Kothrud, and the surrounding areas. It’s a lot of walking and talking, really. Sometimes the elevators in the building are slow, so we end up taking the stairs. We deal with all sorts of people, from young couples looking for their first rental to older folks trying to sell. The paperwork side of things can be a real mess sometimes, so we spend a lot of time double-checking names and dates. It's not a glamorous job, sitting in a small office with files everywhere, but it's what we do. We know this part of Mumbai like the back of our hand. If someone asks about a specific building near the station, we usually know if it has water issues or how the society is. We don't use any fancy software or big marketing teams. It is just us and our notebooks. People come in, tell us what they need, and we see what’s available in the registers without making a big fuss.
