We’re over at Wadia House on Hughes Road. It’s Flat No. 2 on the ground floor. It’s a bit of an old-school building, which we like. The name is a bit of a mouthful—Bob and Daughters Restaurants LLP—but it’s a family-run kind of thing at its heart. We’ve set up our workspace here in Mumbai 400007. It’s not a big open-plan office with bean bags. It’s more like a repurposed flat where we have our computers and files. We spend a lot of time talking about food and how to run things better. The ground floor is convenient because we don’t have to wait for the lift. We’re right there on 22 Hughes Road, which is a pretty good area to be in. Our daily routine involves a lot of coffee and a lot of phone calls. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in the city. We just want to do right by the name. There are usually boxes of samples lying around and papers everywhere. It’s a bit messy, but we know where everything is. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing department. It’s just us. Sometimes the neighbors in the building pop in to say hello. It feels more like a home than a corporate office, which suits us just fine. We’ve been working out of this flat for some time now and it works. We just keep our heads down and handle the daily tasks.
