I’m over at 2 Pantnagar in the Anil Kunj building. Most people know the area because Sangli Bank is right nearby. It’s a quiet enough corner compared to the main roads. My work involves a lot of sitting at the desk and going through papers. It’s been this way for a long time. People come to see Bimal Panchamia for various things, and I try to help out where I can. The office is small, just enough for me and maybe a couple of chairs for guests. I don’t have a big staff or anything like that. It’s mostly just me handling the daily routine. The building is old but it has a certain character that you don’t find in the new glass towers. I like being near the bank because it makes it easy for people to find me. You just tell them "near Sangli Bank" and they know exactly where to turn. My days usually start early and end when the sun goes down. I don't go for big marketing or flashy signs. Just a simple nameplate on the door. It’s about being there when someone needs something done. Sometimes neighbors stop by just to say hello while they’re out doing their errands. It makes the day go by faster. I’ve seen the neighborhood change over the years, but I’ve stayed right here in Pantnagar doing what I do. It is a steady life and I have grown to appreciate the rhythm of this street. I keep my files organized and wait for the doorbell.
