Our place is up on the fourth floor of Bhukhanvala Chambers. We're right in the middle of the Veera Industrial Estate, which is always noisy and moving. It’s a bit of a climb if you aren't used to it, but the lift usually works fine. Being off the Link Road makes it easier for deliveries, though traffic on Veera Desai Road can be a real headache some afternoons. We have been in this building for years now. The office is full of papers and samples of different tools we handle. It's not the quietest spot because of all the other workshops nearby. Sometimes you can hear the machines downstairs through the floor. We spend a lot of our time on the phone or checking inventory lists. It’s mostly just a few of us here making sure orders go out to the right places. We don't have a big reception desk or fancy lights. It’s just a place where work happens. Most of the people who drop by are regulars who have been buying from us since before the road was extended. We keep some extra chairs around for when someone wants to sit and talk shop for a bit. It gets dusty with all the construction going on in Andheri, but we try to keep the desks clear. It’s just how things are in this part of town. Sometimes the power flickers, but we just reset the routers and keep going. It’s a busy life.
