Our office is tucked away on the first floor of the Veena Beena Building over in Bandra. It’s right there in the HRBR Layout area, specifically the first block on the seventh main. If you’ve been around this part of town, you know it’s a mix of old houses and new spots popping up all the time. We spend a lot of our time on the phone or out walking around showing people different flats and offices. The desk is usually covered in papers, maps, and lists of available places. Being a consultant in the housing market means we hear a lot of stories about why people are moving or what they are looking for in a home. We try to keep track of who is selling and who is looking to rent, which isn't always easy when things change so fast. The office isn't very large, but it’s where we do all the dull paperwork and wait for the next call to come in. We’ve gotten to know the local streets and the landlords pretty well over the seasons. It’s a lot of back and forth, dealing with keys and trying to find a time that works for everyone to meet. Some days are slow and we just sit and drink tea, while other days we are running around from one end of the block to the other. It’s just the daily grind of helping folks find a place to stay.
