Beans Unlimited

Beans Unlimited is located in Block No. 11/B on the ground floor. We are inside the old Parel Cotton Press Factory Premises, which is a big place with a lot of history. The address is 9/D on Elphinstone Bridge Road, right off J.B. Marg in Parel East. Being on the ground floor is lucky for us because we move a lot of heavy stuff around. The factory premises have that old Mumbai feel, with high ceilings and thick walls. It can get a bit humid in the summer, but we have some fans going to keep the air moving. There’s always a bit of a crowd near the bridge road, so getting in and out can be a bit of a struggle during peak hours. Inside our unit, things are mostly functional. We have our storage areas and a small space where we sit to handle the books. The walls are a bit scuffed from moving crates, and the floor is concrete. It’s not a showroom, it’s a working warehouse and office. We’ve been here in Parel for a long time. We know the security guards at the gate and the other people working in the different blocks. It’s a community of small businesses all doing their own thing. We just focus on our daily tasks and making sure everything is where it should be. It’s a busy spot but it’s where we’ve always been and it suits us just fine.
