Beans & Beyond

Shop 12 in the Mangal Arambh Building over in Borivali West is where we set up Beans & Beyond. We’re a small spot, and we mostly focus on coffee and related things. It’s not a massive place with leather sofas and quiet music. It’s more of a local hangout where things are a bit tight but friendly. We spend a lot of time behind the counter making drinks and talking to the people from the neighborhood. Borivali is always busy, and being near the Mangal Arambh building means there’s always foot traffic. We aren't trying to be a big chain or anything like that. We just like good beans and making sure the coffee tastes right. Sometimes we run out of certain things because the delivery was late, but people usually don't mind too much. We have some stools and a few small tables, but it’s mostly people grabbing something on their way to work or the station. The walls have some simple stuff on them, nothing professionally decorated. We just put up what we liked. My friend and I started this because we wanted a job where we could be our own bosses. It’s a lot of cleaning up spilled milk and grinding beans, but it’s better than sitting in a cubicle all day. We’re just a regular shop trying to make a decent cup of coffee for everyone who stops by. We’re here every day, just keeping the grinder going.
