Bala Krishanan

If you are looking for us, we are in Vile Parle West on the mezzanine floor of Vishwanath Bhavan. It is one of those older buildings that has a lot of character but the stairs can be a bit much if you are carrying heavy stuff. Being on the mezzanine floor means we are sort of between the ground and the first floor, so it’s a bit of a unique space. It’s not a very big area, just enough for a desk and some storage for whatever we are working on at the moment. Bala Krishanan is the name on the door but it’s just a small operation here. The neighborhood is usually quite busy with people heading to the station or local shops. We can hear the sounds of the street from the window, which is actually kind of nice. The office is pretty quiet otherwise. We spend a lot of time just sitting and going through files or answering emails. It’s not a fancy corporate office with glass walls or anything like that. It’s got an old-school feel to it with the wooden desks and the way the light comes in. Sometimes we have people dropping in for a quick meeting but mostly it’s just a place to get the work done without too many distractions. Vile Parle is a good spot to be, even if the building is a bit tucked away in the middle of everything else.
