Baban Tools

Baban Tools is located in the Satyam Industrial Estate on Subhash Road in Jogeshwari. We have Gala No 52, which is a small space filled with almost all the tools you can think of. Being in an industrial estate means it’s always loud with the sound of someone else’s machines running next door. We have shelves of wrenches, hammers, and specialized bits for lathes. It’s a bit dark inside because the windows are high up and covered in grime from the nearby factories. I usually spend my morning checking the stock and dusting off the heavier items that don't get moved often. The Subhash Road traffic is a nightmare most days, so getting deliveries in or out can take forever. We have a small stool for customers to sit on, but most people are in a hurry and just want to grab their tools and go back to their own workshops. It’s a very practical kind of place with no frills. There’s no air conditioning, just a big ceiling fan that wobbles when it’s on high speed. My shirt usually has a few stains by noon from handling the iron tools and oily boxes. We don't do much in the way of fancy displays; the tools are just kept in their original boxes or hung on nails along the wall. It’s the kind of shop where you have to know what you’re looking for because everything looks a bit the same to someone who isn't a mechanic.
