Baba Chinese & Fast Food

Baba Chinese & Fast Food is located at Plot No 66, D-5 in SVP Nagar, Andheri West. It is a standard little setup where we do a lot of frying and tossing on the wok. The kitchen is the heart of the place, and it is usually quite loud with the sound of the high-pressure burners. We spend our afternoons chopping cabbage, carrots, and onions to get ready for the evening rush. SVP Nagar has a lot of residential buildings, so we get many families and students coming by when they don't feel like cooking at home. The menu is taped to the wall, and it is got all the usual stuff people expect. We do not have a lot of space for people to lounge around, so it is mostly quick service. The floor can get a bit slippery if we are not careful, so we are constantly mopping. We have got a couple of small tables outside, but most people just stand and eat or take it away. It is a lot of work handling the orders when they all come in at once at dinner time. We do not use any complicated systems, just a pad of paper and a pen. It is a simple life running a fast food joint in Andheri. We just try to get the orders out fast and keep the ingredients as fresh as we can get them from the market.
