B.T.V. Silk International

If you walk through Cuubon Pet and head down the 26th Main, you will find us at number 12. We are in Anakallappa Lane, which is a narrow spot in the Narayanasetty Pet area. B.T.V. Silk International has been operating from this location for quite some time now. The lanes around here are always full of people moving goods on carts and motorbikes zooming past. Silk is what we do, and the place is usually full of different colors and textures of fabric. It is a very hands-on environment. We don't have a big fancy showroom; instead, we have rooms filled with rolls of silk and workers checking the threads for any mistakes. The atmosphere in Cuubon Pet is very old-fashioned, and everyone knows everyone else’s business. We hear the neighbors talking through the thin walls and the sounds of the looms if someone nearby is weaving. It can be a bit chaotic during the peak season when everyone wants their orders at the same time. We spend a lot of time on our feet, moving between the storage areas and the small desk where we keep the ledger. It is a bit of a maze inside the building, but we are used to it. The work is repetitive but there is something nice about seeing the finished silk piled up ready to go.
