B. K. Industries

B. K. Industries is located at 25, Balaji Industrial Estate. We are on Akurli Road in Hanuman Nagar, which is in Kandivli (E). This is a real industrial patch. You won’t find any fancy showrooms or manicured lawns around here. It’s all about manufacturing and hard work. Our unit is one of many in the estate. It’s mostly filled with machines and the smell of cutting oil. We have a small area partitioned off for the office work, but mostly we are out on the floor. It gets pretty loud when the machines are running, so we usually have to shout a bit to be heard. We don't have a dress code. Everyone just wears what’s practical for the job. We’ve been here for quite some time and have seen the neighborhood change, though the industrial estate stays mostly the same. Sometimes the trucks blocking the road make it hard to get in, but that’s just life here. We don't have any promotional brochures. Most people find us because they need a specific part made and they know we have the tools for it. We take our tea breaks together in the afternoon. It’s a simple life. We focus on the metal and the machines. We don't try to be something we aren't. We’re just a small industrial unit getting through the daily orders and keeping the machines running as much as we can.
