B. J. Mohan & Company is over at 20 Hill Road. We are inside the Hill View building in Bandra (W). Hill Road is famous for being one of the busiest streets in the city. There’s always music playing from some shop and people everywhere. Our office is a little quieter than the street, but not by much. We’ve been in this building for decades. The elevator is one of those old ones with the manual gate. Inside the office, things are pretty traditional. We have heavy wooden desks and old-fashioned fans that hum all day. We deal with a lot of paperwork and files. It’s not a paperless office by any means. We have stacks of documents that we go through every day. The team here is small. We’ve all worked together for a long time, so we don’t need to say much to get things moving. We don't have a lobby with a couch. Usually, people just come in and sit at one of the spare desks if they need to talk. We don't do any big advertising. Bandra is a place where everyone eventually knows who you are if you stay long enough. We aren't trying to expand into some giant corporation. We just want to keep doing our work from our spot in Hill View. It’s a comfortable routine and it suits us just fine. Most of our desks are wooden and have been here since the beginning.
