Azmal Khan

Working out of Room No 240 on Pipe Road in Kurla West is an experience every single day. If you’ve been to Kurla, you know it’s crowded and loud and there is always something happening right outside the window. Azmal Khan is the name I use for the business, and this small room is the center of everything. It’s not much to look at, just a table, a chair, and some storage for whatever we are handling that week. Sometimes it gets a bit cramped when there are more than two people inside, but we manage. The heat can be a bit much in the afternoons, so the fan is always running at full speed. People stop by to talk about work or just to share some news from the street. Pipe Road has a way of keeping you on your toes. I don’t have a big team or a fancy website. I just have my phone and this space where I keep track of all the orders and the people I need to meet. It’s a very direct way of doing things. You talk to the person, you agree on something, and then you do it. There’s no red tape or long meetings here. It’s just about getting the daily tasks finished so I can head home. It’s a simple life in a busy part of Mumbai, and it works for me.
