Our office is located right in the middle of the city at 162/C, Wing, Mittal Tower. Being in Nariman Point means we have to deal with the typical Mumbai rush and the crowded sidewalks every single day. The building is a bit older but it has a very solid feel to it. We spend our time managing the oat supplies and checking in with our distribution teams from our desks. It is mostly computers, ringing phones, and stacks of shipping manifests in here. You can actually see a tiny bit of the sea if you stand in just the right spot by the corner window. We get a lot of people coming in and out, mostly couriers and people from the other companies on this floor. Lunch is usually a quick affair at a nearby stall because there is always a call coming in from the plant or a supplier. Sometimes the elevator takes a long time to arrive, which is the main thing we all complain about during the afternoon. At Aussee Oats India Pvt.Ltd., we don’t really do the whole corporate jargon thing. We just focus on making sure the containers are moving through the port and the inventory stays balanced. The office can get a bit loud when everyone is talking at once, but we have gotten used to the noise over the years. It’s a busy spot and everyone is ready to head home by the evening when the rush starts again.
