Ashtapad Overseas

Our office is up on the second floor of Gods Gift Tower. If you are walking down Avantikabai Gokhle Street, you might miss the entrance if you aren't looking for it. Ashtapad Overseas has been tucked away in room 204 for a while now. It gets a bit cramped with all the paperwork and files piling up on the desks. We handle a lot of stuff coming in and going out, which means there is always a lot of back-and-forth on the phone. It isn't a flashy place, just some old desks and a water cooler that makes a loud noise every hour. Sometimes the lift in the building is slow so we just take the stairs. Working in exports or whatever you want to call it means we are always checking clocks and dates. The street outside is usually noisy with traffic and people shouting, but it is quieter once you get inside the building. We have a few people working here, mostly just trying to keep the documents organized so nothing gets lost. It’s a lot of stamps and signatures. We drink too much tea during the day. It’s just how we get through the pile of folders. Being on the second floor gives us a bit of a view of the street, but mostly we are just looking at computer screens. We have been at this address for a good bit now and it feels like home.
